Porn support network.   We’re starting a new network for porn support.  Whether you’re addicted or an occasional user, this could be the moment in time when you make a break with pornography.  Do you really want to take porn use with you into the future?  Here’s how to take action.

1/  Reach out to Hugh or Katie to let one of us know you want to be a part of our porn support network.  Owning up to your porn use might be the hardest email you’ve ever sent to anyone, but please know you’ll not be judged.  We have deep respect for anyone who admits that where they are isn’t where they want to continue to be.  Let us hear from you.

Women…contact Katie / katieheckel2@gmail.com

Men…contact Hugh / hughgriffith2@gmail.com

2/  We’ll put you in a team of three (all same gender) to create community.   We’re stronger when we band together.  These small groups of three are the core of our porn support network.  If you’re uneasy about being honest about porn in a small group, you’ll be surprised how encouraging it is to openly share your struggle with others.

3/  In your team of three, you’ll meet weekly for a devotion, accountability, and prayer.  Probably about 30 minutes.  Each trio will have a leader/facilitator.

4/  Once a month, you’ll have chance to meet with Katie or Hugh…girls with Katie and guys with Hugh…for pastoral support.  Both peer support in trios and pastoral support from Katie or Hugh are important layers of help.

5/  You’ll be responsible to take action to deal with your use of pornography.  We’ll help you develop your strategy.  You’ll get plenty of support, ideas, and encouragement, but you’ll be responsible to take action.   Recommending strategies include things like attending trio meetings;  cutting off your sources of porn by using accountability software, blocks, filters;  feeding your faith through Bible reading, prayer, and worship;  committing to a recovery program like fortifyprogram.org;  talking with a counselor at the Student Counseling Center;  reading to get informed about porn use and porn recovery;  developing your testimony of struggle and recovery.

6/  Your involvement is confidential.  We ask for and expect strict confidentiality within trios.  Meetings are held in discreet locations.

7/  The Holy Spirit is a member of your trio, so actually, there’ll be four of you banding together.
